A little one and a beach adventure...

My good friends Sarah and Matt had a little girl over a month ago. I was blessed to spend time with her in the first  few hours of her life. I also get to visit with this little one often over the next year and share how she grows.

This being our second photo visit, I can't believe how much Hailey has grown in the last month. She has been giving mom and dad a run for their money and very much growing rapidly. She was already almost double her birth weight by this time!

I asked Sarah during our session if she had any bows or headbands she wanted for Hailey's photos... she had over a dozen! So many I think we only had time for maybe three! We were hoping for sleepy baby photos, but I think that my camera was too distracting... maybe next time!

My next session was with a wonderful family that I have gotten to see grow because of my relationship with the beautiful lady in the photos. Kim and I have worked together for quite a few years and we have shared many work and kid raising experiences.

Her two handsome boys are 100% boy and are such a bundle of energy!! My little girl had such a blast spending the evening with them. She was spent by the time we made it to the main road.

Chuck and Kim live in such a beautiful little cove... this beach was very close to their home and was the perfect setting for our adventure. I always love to see what I capture after a session. The above moment melts my heart.

I love watching all these little ones grow up. To see couples become families and to see them blossom. I am also blessed to capture some of the moments of their growth. Thank you Matt and Sarah, as well as, Chuck and Kim, you are all appreciated!

The end of a busy month.

I do have to say, July was one of the busiest months for me. I didn't realize how busy I was until I found myself trying to complete edits on so many sessions I didn't know how I would fit them all in! Don't get me wrong, I am so blessed and honored to be so busy. The end of July in particular held sessions for two families: one, I had never met and another that I have known since I can remember.

The first family of my weekend was the Goodales. They won a session with me from a local school auction. Their family was a joy to spend time with.

Most sessions I find myself with many photos where one or more people didn't smile. This family was truly one blessed with amazing smiles and they were all very photogenic. I really enjoyed the chance to capture the beauty of this family!

The very next morning I had the chance to catch up with family. Time can go by so quickly. I remember seeing my cousin Elisha and her family last Thanksgiving and yet to see them again just a few short weeks ago it feels like it has been forever.

Getting to catch up with them about their lives was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning. I remember when their son was born and it is so hard to believe the young man that I was taking photos of was the same little guy I still have in my memories.

I know Haden didn't really like having to look at the camera... so he seemed totally on board when I told him to look away ;) Love this one!

I really love spending time with people and hopefully making "getting their picture taken" less of a chore. I have had many people say " that wasn't so bad" when we finish, which always brightens my day! I so enjoy the time I get to joke and laugh with people.

Thank you Goodales and Mosers for trusting me to photograph your wonderful family and for putting up with my silliness!

Two great family sessions...

I have had quite a few family sessions lately. All of which have been so much fun to do. The two I am sharing today are families with older kids. I enjoy taking photos of little ones but there is something about teenagers... they are hilarious!

The Costanzo family was a session that was a little bittersweet. Zac, the oldest of this group of boys, was off to Australia the next day. His family is so very proud of him, as he begins this journey to connect with God!

These four boys have been a joy to see grow up. I remember when their mom was still able to look down at most of her boys... now they are definitely taller young men. Each with a personality all their own.

These two have been such a blessing in my life. I pray for them and their family often and hope the best as they start to see the young men they raised begin to take journeys out into the world.

My next family session was with a co-workers family. She knew my husband before her and I really had a chance to work together and he always spoke highly of her. Now that we have been working more closely the last couple years, I totally agree with him!

Her family had just returned from a vacation of a lifetime in Hawaii and they were all still in a bit of recovery mode. But, they maintained their great smiles and energy for the duration of our session. I also enjoyed the many "pirate eyes" from Fred. He kept trying to avoid a squinting eye by opening his eyes super wide, which made reviewing images super fun ;)

These two families were a joy to spend time with. I got to laugh and enjoy some great memories. I hope these photos will be reminders of some great memories for both of these families as well!
